Ann Wilson of Heart quietly revealed today (March 27) an extension of her solo tour of the U.S. where she’s performing hits from Heart, solo recordings as well as classic rock influences. The initial dates kicked off March 8 in her Seattle hometown. After the current leg ends on April 7, new dates are scheduled to begin in May.
Tickets will go on sale here beginning with presales as early as this Wednesday, March 29. (Tickets are also available here.) See the itinerary below; many more dates to come.
“The stage is a magical place where I can be beautifully in and out of control, where I can build a fire and then jump into it,” said Wilson, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, in a press release when she announced the original dates on January 10. “The stage is where I have always lived; where I’ve expressed my deepest emotions and supreme joys. I suppose I am addicted to it. I’ve never been much good at talking, but I can sing, and when I sing I connect with people in a much deeper, higher way.”
Meanwhile, sister Nancy Wilson is working on her own side project, Roadcase Royale with R&B singer Liv Warfield, formerly of Prince’s band, her lead guitarist and musical director Ryan Waters, as well as current Heart members Chris Joyner (keyboards), Dan Rothchild (bass) and Ben Smith (drums). A tour is expected to be announced soon.

Musicians on board for Ann Wilson’s tour include Craig Bartock on guitar (Heart member for a dozen years, who also performed in the Ann Wilson Thing for two years) from San Francisco; Andy Stoller on bass (the Ann Wilson Thing member for two years) from Seattle; Denny Fongheiser on drums and percussion (Heart member in the 1990s for two years) from Los Angeles.
The Ann Wilson dates follow the release of Heart’s critically acclaimed 2016 Beautiful Broken album.
