Mick Jagger and Keith Richards in Chicago, June 21, 2019

The 2019 edition of the Rolling Stones’ “No Filter” tour, originally scheduled to begin April 20, finally debuted on Friday night, June 21, at Chicago’s Soldier Field. The tour was abruptly delayed on March 30 when the group announced an unnamed health issue affecting Mick Jagger. Within days, it was discovered that the legendary frontman, required a heart valve procedure.

Just six weeks later, following several social media posts featuring a hale Jagger, the Stones announced a revised schedule. The June 21 concert – the first of two shows at the venue – featured a 20-song setlist that included such must-haves as “Brown Sugar,” “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” “Sympathy For the Devil” and “Honky Tonk Women.

As with the 2018 edition of the “No Filter” tour, they opened with “Street Fighting Man.”

Watch them perform “Angie” and “Dead Flowers”

As with recent tours, the Stones are giving themselves plenty of time in between concerts. The tour’s 17 dates are spread out over a whopping 73 days, with the final concert scheduled for August 31. Charlie Watts is 78, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards are both 75, and Ronnie Wood is 72.

The Stones’ most recent tour, began in Hamburg, Germany, in September 2017, and they ended that first leg in Paris on Oct. 25, 2017. They then returned to the road in May 2018, starting the next leg of the tour in Dublin, Ireland, ending in Warsaw, Poland, on July 8, 2018.

“Jumpin’ Jack Flash” and “Brown Sugar” closed the main set of the 2019 tour’s opening night.

Are you sure that Mick wasn’t a holograph?
