John Fogerty has extended his 2026 “Legacy Tour” with a string of concerts with Steve Winwood in September. Tickets for the new dates with Winwood go on sale March 13 at 10 a.m. local time. Presale begins on March 10 at 10 a.m. local time here.

The March 9 news arrives as Fogerty prepares to receive the Johnny Mercer Award, the Songwriters Hall of Fame’s highest honor, at the organization’s Induction and Awards Gala on June 11 in New York City. The award recognizes a body of work that has shaped American music for generations.

As Best Classic Bands wrote in its 2024 review, how many ’60s recording stars are still out there performing at such a high level? Fogerty‘s voice, guitar playing and stage presence are all still first-rate. And his repertoire is so rich, filled with such Creedence Clearwater Revival favorites as “Proud Mary,” “Up Around the Bend,” “Down on the Corner” and “Fortunate Son,” as well as his solo cuts like “Centerfield” and “Rock and Roll Girls,” that his setlist programs like a deluxe greatest hits package.
