Eric Clapton has announced U.S. dates for his 2026 tour calendar. The performances this year have been revealed a few at a time and it’s anyone’s guess whether there are more to come including a mini-residence at London’s Royal Albert Hall. A pair of shows in Guildford, U.K., were announced on Jan. 14 at G Live. Those concerts precede the previously announced shows in Europe taking place in April and May. (At Guildford, he’ll be joined by Ronnie Wood and His Band, and others.) Tickets for the U.S. and European shows are available here. The U.S. shows, announced on March 2, go on sale March 6 at 10 a.m. local time.

“Slowhand,” who will turn 81 on March 30, had a fairly busy 2025 schedule with roughly two dozen concerts in Japan, the U.K., Europe and the U.S.

2026 marks Clapton’s 63rd year as a professional musician. The legendary guitarist joined The Yardbirds in 1963 and the following years saw him join John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, Cream, Blind Faith, Delaney & Bonnie & Friends, and Derek and the Dominos along with a solo career spanning five+ decades.

Clapton‘s band for the 2026 tour will be Nathan East (bass / vocals), Edward ‘Sonny’ Emory III (drums), Doyle Bramhall II (Guitar), Tim Carmon (Hammond / keyboards), Chris Stainton (keyboard) Sharon White (backing vocals) and Katie Kissoon (backing vocals). Jimmie Vaughan is the special guest for the U.S. shows.

Oh boy! Let’s roll out that exciting show yet one more time — Cocaine, Wonderful Tonight, Lay Down Sally…. the gems just keep coming. I guess Paul Carrack couldn’t bear to sing High Time We left one more time, so he bailed. The saddest part is that as talented as Doyle Bramhall is he can’t seem to turn down the big bucks involved in doing Clapton shows rather than being out playing his own great songs. And then to top it all off at the US shows, we have Jimmy Vaughn opening. So it’ll be a complete evening of total mediocrity that people actually pay to see because it’s “The Blues” baby! Apparently it all works just fine for the many folks who can’t tell the difference.
