Paul Simon has announced a North American leg of his 2026 “A Quiet Celebration” tour. The run, announced on February 3, spans just 20 dates in 18 cities and begins June 4 and continues through July 18. It follows a springtime edition in Europe that was announced last December which continues 2025’s surprising return to the stage. Other than an occasional one-off date, the first time in seven years since the singer-songwriting legend’s much-ballyhooed “Homeward Bound – The Final Tour,” which took place in 2018. Simon will again present a performance of his critically acclaimed, Grammy-nominated 2023 album Seven Psalms, as well as perform a celebration of his timeless classics. Following pre-sales on Feb. 4-5, tickets will be available on February 6 at 10 a.m. local time here.
The band will include: Caleb Burhans (viola), Jamey Haddad (percussion), Gyan Riley (guitar), Mick Rossi (piano, keys), Andy Snitzer (saxophone), Nancy Stagnita (flute), Mark Stewart (guitar), Eugene Friesen (cello), Bakithi Kumalo (bass), and Steve Gadd (drums).

It was during the recording of Seven Psalms, as revealed in the acclaimed In Restless Dreams documentary, that Simon began to steadily lose the hearing in his left ear which initially made extended live performances impossible. Together with the Stanford Initiative to Cure Hearing Loss, and his own production team, Simon redesigned his entire stage set up to make performing viable.
Inspired to perform again, Simon began work rehearsing and figuring out how he could bring Seven Psalms to the stage along with new arrangements of familiar favorites. He was eager to expand the experience into the live forum by performing this intricately layered work in intimate rooms with pristine acoustics.
Of that previous “farewell” tour in 2018, Simon said, “I’ve often wondered what it would feel like to reach the point where I’d consider bringing my performing career to a natural end. Now I know: it feels a little unsettling, a touch exhilarating and something of a relief. I love making music, my voice is still strong, and my band is a tight, extraordinary group of gifted musicians. I think about music constantly. I am very grateful for a fulfilling career and, of course, most of all to the audiences who heard something in my music that touched their hearts.”
Simon turned 84 on October 13, 2025. He performed “Homeward Bound” on the SNL50 Anniversary Special on February 16, 2025.
