Following a series of successful reunions since 2017, Foreigner have announced four more. The “special celebration events” – Double Vision: Then and Now – are scheduled for the fall and will feature Lou Gramm, Dennis Elliott, Al Greenwood, Ian McDonald and Rick Wills, as well as all current band members.
Founded in 1976, Foreigner burst onto the radio and the album sales chart with their 1977 self-titled first album on Atlantic Records. That debut album produced the classic rock hits “Feels Like The First Time,” “Cold As Ice” and “Long, Long Way From Home.” The Double Vision album followed, as did a string of hits like “Hot Blooded” and “Blue Morning, Blue Day.”
That momentum helped make the band’s next album, 1981’s 4, #1 on the Billboard chart. The album delivered such smash hits as “Urgent,” “Juke Box Hero” and “Waiting For a Girl Like You.” 1984 delivered the #1 global hit,” I Want To Know What Love Is.” All told, they’ve earned fourteen Top 20 U.S. pop hits.
