The 2017 edition of the annual Happy Together Tour, as always starring The Turtles featuring Flo and Eddie, is now official. The first dates have been announced. Scroll down to the bottom to see if the tour is coming close to you but keep in mind that more dates will be announced in the near future.
This year the tour will include six headline artists with 53 Billboard hits among them. The yearly summer tour, going into its eighth consecutive year, will also feature The Association, Chuck Negron (formerly of Three Dog Night), The Box Tops, The Cowsills and The Archies starring Ron Dante.
The Turtles, featuring Flo & Eddie, are led by vocalists Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman. The Turtles have sold over 40 million records worldwide. Their hits include: “Happy Together,” “She’d Rather Be With Me,” “Elenore,” “It Ain’t Me Babe” and “You Showed Me.”
The Association is one of the most popular and successful bands to have come out of the ’60s. They are best known from their number one hits, “Windy”, “Cherish” and “Never My Love.”
Chuck Negron, formerly of Three Dog Night, performs the group’s biggest hits including “Joy To The World,” “Mama Told Me Not To Come,” “Shambala,” “One” and “Easy To Be Hard.”

The Box Tops, from Memphis, Tennessee, are the newest addition to the Happy Together lineup. The Box Tops recorded a string of Top 40 hits including the worldwide #1 smash song, “The Letter,” and others including “Cry Like A Baby,” “Soul Deep,” “Neon Rainbow” and more. During the 2017 HT Tour, the The Box Tops will be celebrating their 50th anniversary, and the 50th anniversary of “The Letter.”
The Cowsills have been part of the last two years of the Happy Together tour. Bob, Paul and Susan Cowsill are a family singing group and the original inspiration for television’s The Partridge Family. Best known for songs “The Rain, The Park and Other Things,” “Hair,” “Indian Lake” and “Love American Style,” The Cowsills appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show and The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.
Rounding out the lineup and another newcomer to Happy Together is The Archies’ Ron Dante. Ron Dante is the lead singer for the group, which is best known for the classic #1 hit of 1969, “Sugar, Sugar.” Other well-known songs include “Bang-Shang-A-Lang” and “Jingle Jangle.” Ron Dante had another top 10 hit in the summer of 1969 with “Tracy.”
The Happy Together Tour began in 1984 with mainstays The Turtles. It took a break for a while and then started up again in 2010.
Tickets for many of the dates are available via Ticketmaster and via the secondary market at TicketNetwork. For additional information, contact local venues.

What happened to Mark Lindsey?
He’s still around and sounds great. Except for the Turtles, the cast of the Happy Together tour changes around every year. Mark was in for two or three years already so it’s someone else’s turn. Maybe he’ll come back next time.
Will they be coming to Mpls/st Paul Mn State Fair in 2017?

This will be my Third Year in a row now and I must admit, I am hooked on this 60’s Bands revival. Flo and Eddie, or Mark and Howard of the Turtles keep massive energy in this show drummed up from the Gerital shared by all! Lol This is a Beautiful Night out to sit or stand and enjoy power hits from one of the best decades in music. This is where Rock n Roll took the turn into what it is today. They keep it real with the best acts!
You should try to make it to the CLE where they hold the Moondog Coronation Ball reunion every year-usually in late Mar.- early Apr. (the original in 1952 is widely considered to be the first ever Rock and Roll concert)
Tommy James and the Shondells, Grand Funk, and Three Dog Night were the headliners this year
When are you coming back to Atlanta? Can’t wait!
Yes we need the concert in Atlanta!
The Box Tops???? seriously….with Alex Chilton gone…….it will be a pale version of the hits. Saw this tour 3 years ago…Turtles did 3 songs (and basically phoned it in…..you can guess the 3 songs they sang)…….and one of the other acts Gary Lewis was sick and did not perform…entire concert was barely 70 minutes. Huge dissapointment
Sorry to hear that, Al. I have to say though, that having been to this tour nearly every year for most of the past decade, the Turtles never, ever do just three songs. It’s pretty much always six: She’d Rather be With Me, You Baby, It Ain’t Me Babe, Elenore, Happy Together and usually one from their days with Zappa, most often Peaches en Regalia. I can’t imagine what show you saw where they did three. I don’t disagree with you about the Box Tops though–I wasn’t so thrilled when the Grass Roots continued to perform after the death of Rob Grill. And Gary Lewis is definitely pretty abysmal. Gary Puckett was also pretty horrible. On the other hand, when they’ve had people like Chuck Negron and the Cowsills (who are back this year), they were great.
I guess you need to get your time machine and go back to the ’60 when all the original members were alive and performing. Gary and Bill should die rather than play as the Box Tops for the people who want to see them.
What happened to the Minnesota State Fair? Last year, you said you’d be back so we’ve been stalking the Fair site and now it says Frankie Valli for the Monday that the Tour usually plays.
Can you tell me precisely who will be in the lineup at your June 17th gig in Albany, NY?
We don’t have anything to do with putting on the show–we just reported on it. But you can go to http://www.paradiseartists.com/artist/happy-together-tour-2017/ for details.
What about coming to South Carolina?
Why aren’t you coming to the Minnesota State Fair this year? I look forward to your show every year☹️
Thanks for your comment. This is not the site for the Happy Together tour though. You would need to find the promoters to ask them your question.
Are you coming back to the Minnesota State Fair this year? You have to come back!
When will you be back to the Minnesota State Fair? You were great – will miss you this year.
Sad
Best to contact the tour directly.
the happy tour 2017 was over the top at mt. winery in saratoga, ca..ron dante at 72 looks 45 and love sugar sugar… chuck Negron of 3 dog night had the great songs..
it brought great memories of the 60’s and the 70’s.
Imagine The Cowsills & The Osmonds touring together as part of The Happy Together Tour!! Two incredibly talented groups that have been performing for 50+ years each, combined for over 200 million records, 50 Gold & Platinum Awards and they just happen to be family groups. Every show could be an arena show as their fan bases are still that large worldwide. Check out The Osmond Family Hour every last Thursday thru Sunday online at myBNR.
The Osmonds would be great on this tour in 2018. Hopefully they will consider joining a tour like this.
I went to the show in Biloxi, Ms their opening show and the concert was GREAT!!!!!! I hope and pray they have a 2018 tour. I WILL GO AGAIN!!!
I forgot to add ALL these guys are amazing they are power touring like they are all in their teens.
Can’t wait to see my puppy love crush girlfriend Susan Cowsill. She is America’s sweetheart.
I take issue with what you said about the Box Tops. I have heard alex live with the BT’s in Memphis. Alex refused to sing their hits with his signature growl, and pretty much “phoned in” his vocals. I think Gary Talley, and Bill Cunningham, both, original members do a much better job at vocals than Alex did at their later live gigs.
I love seeing and hearing Bill and Gary, but I disagree about Alex and the Box Tops. Maybe he didn’t do the signature growl (the guy was past pretending and wasn’t stuck in amber), but if you look at the videos, he looked like he was having more fun doing Box Tops show, as the “stick man” than Big Star shows, where the songs constrained him a lot more.
