Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey have announced a pair of Who concerts in March 2025 at London’s Royal Albert Hall as part of the annual Teenage Cancer Trust lineup. It will be their first performance together since the organization’s 2024 series. They’ll be supported on the March 27 and 30 concerts by Level 42. Tickets go on sale January 31 at 9 a.m. local time here.
The musicians weren’t revealed in the announcement. Daltrey has already booked a brief 2025 solo tour of the U.K. called “Alive and Kicking… and Having Fun!” The intimate shows will feature Daltrey performing acoustic and semi-acoustic takes on songs from The Who as well as delve into his solo back catalog that dates back nearly 50 years, along with stories. His nine-piece band consists of regular Who collaborator Simon Townshend (guitar/ vocals) alongside John Hogg (bass), Doug Boyle (guitar), Steve Weston (harmonica), Jody Linscott (percussion), Billy Nicholls (Backing vocals), Katie Jacoby (violin), Geraint Watkins (keyboard), and Scott Devours (drums). Tickets for these shows are available here.
Townshend and Daltrey last toured as The Who in 2023 when they did a series of concerts in the U.K. and Europe. 2024 was a quiet year for the band, with no deluxe edition of their recorded legacy, although a collection of Townshend solo concerts was issued as a boxed set. [It’s available in the U.K. here and in the U.S. here.] They were honored in October by the Royal Mail with a stamps series commemorating their 60th anniversary.
