Saxon and Uriah Heep have announced a 2024 co-headlining tour, “Hell, Fire & Chaos – The Best of British Rock & Metal,” in the U.S. this spring. The bands will be playing equal set lengths, alternating the closing performance. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on January 12 here.
Saxon were formed in 1979 and became leaders in the new wave of British heavy metal movement alongside bands such as Iron Maiden and Def Leppard. Saxon will be supporting their 24th studio album, Hell, Fire and Damnation, coming January 19 (in the U.S. here and the U.K. here). They continue to headline many of the major rock festivals in Europe and continue their extensive touring commitment around the world. Their setlist will consist of such classic tracks as “Wheels of Steel,” “747 (Strangers in the Night),” “Strong Arm of the Law,” “Power and the Glory,” and “Denim and Leather.”
Uriah Heep began in 1969 and their 25 studio albums include their 2023 release Chaos & Colour, available in the U.S. here and the U.K. here). As part of the “Big Four” in the 70’s, which also included Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple, Uriah Heep were pioneers in the hard rock field and an inspiration to many major touring and recording artists. The band continue to tour around the world with 63 countries under their belt over the years. They’ve sold a reported 40+ million records featuring such classic rock songs as “Easy Livin’,” “Gypsy,” “Stealin’,” “Sweet Lorraine” and “July Morning.”
