The Hollywood Vampires – Alice Cooper, Joe Perry and Johnny Depp – have expanded their 2018 global tour with four U.K. dates announced on Feb. 7.

From the original announcement of the tour on Dec. 1: “What started with an intimate, star-studded show at the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles for family and friends… the Vampires set their sights on playing in as many places as possible. Their wildly successful summer tour in 2016, took them to more than 23 cities in seven countries… and headlining festivals such as Rock in Rio to more than 100,000 fans.”

The Hollywood Vampires‘ live repertoire includes their original single “Bad As I Am” from their debut album The Hollywood Vampires released in 2015, as well as renditions of classic rock favorites including “My Generation,” “Whole Lotta Love,” and a “School’s Out”/“Another Brick in the Wall” medley.

The story of the Hollywood Vampires began in 1969 on the Sunset Strip at the Rainbow Bar & Grill’s upstairs bar. It was a gathering place for the rock stars living in or passing through L.A. “To join the club, one simply had to out drink all of the members,” says Alice Cooper, a founding member of the original Vampires.

Cooper and Depp got together and decided the spirit of the Hollywood Vampires should live again (minus the drinking). The two were joined by Perry, an old friend of both, and the recording began: a tribute to the original Hollywood Vampires. (Among them were such now late figures as John Lennon, Jim Morrison, Keith Moon, Harry Nilsson, John Bonham and others.)

Cooper told Best Classic Bands: “Here we are in the studio making these records of these guys, and everybody in the studio is sober. Johnny’s sober, Joe’s sober, I’m sober, [producer] Bob Ezrin’s sober. Everybody that comes in is drinking coffee or Diet Coke and we’re making this record of these guys that wouldn’t ever have a Diet Coke in their life and at the time when we were drinking with them. If you had said ’30 years from now you’re going to be doing a record honoring these guys and you’re going to be in top shape, and you’re going to be drinking Diet Coke’ I would have said ‘You’re out of your mind,’ because none of us planned to live past 30.”
