by Best Classic Bands StaffThe Doobie Brothers have released their 15th full-length album, titled Liberté. Produced and co-written by John Shanks (Bon Jovi, Sheryl Crow, Miley Cyrus), the album contains 12 new tracks by Tom Johnston, Pat Simmons and John McFee. It arrived October 1, 2021 via Universal Music.
The four-time GRAMMY Award winners and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2020 inductees are in the midst of a reunion tour with Michael McDonald. (It was originally scheduled for 2020; it finally began August 22.) The highly anticipated 49-city North American tour celebrates the 50th anniversary of the band’s founding with Johnston, McDonald, Simmons and McFee back on tour together for the first time in nearly 25 years. Tickets for the 2021-2022 reunion tour are available at Ticketmaster.com and here.
