Days before finishing the last 2018 dates of his Never Ending Tour, Bob Dylan revealed the first performance of his 2019 concert calendar: a co-headlining date with Neil Young in London’s Hyde Park on July 12 as part of the British Summer Time series.
Not long after the announcement, Young wrote on his website, the Neil Young Archives, that the promoters “jumped the gun,” and that he had issues with the concert’s sponsor, Barclays, which he called “a fossil fuel funding entity.” The NYA site displayed a graphic calling Barclays a “dirty bank” to get the point across.
On Dec. 11, the issue was cleared up. Barclays is out and the concert is not sponsored by any single entity. Since then, the pair have revealed a second date, on July 14 in Ireland. Young, who turned 73 on Nov. 12, will perform with the band he has frequently toured with in recent years, Promise of the Real, which is led by Lukas Nelson, Willie’s son.
Young has several 2019 concerts, too. (See below for details.)

Meanwhile, Dylan, 77, continues to reveal more 2019 dates in various European markets. There are still many gaps in the schedule… more concerts are expected.
