The Hollywood Vampires (Alice Cooper, Joe Perry and Johnny Depp) announced on March 27 their first North American dates of 2018, coming days before they head overseas for a six-week European tour. (See the dates below.) Cooper and Perry have very busy calendars.
Classic rock icon Cooper recently announced a North American fall tour of his “A Paranormal Evening With Alice Cooper.” The tour is named for his 27th album, Paranormal, released last July via earMUSIC.
After completing March dates, he paused briefly to take on the role of King Herod, in the live staging of the iconic 1971 Broadway rock opera, Jesus Christ Superstar. The NBC television broadcast aired on Easter, April 1. (Cooper was joined by John Legend and Sara Bareilles.)

Beginning on May 17, Cooper joins his Hollywood Vampires bandmates Perry and Depp for four North American dates followed by a six week tour of Europe and the U.K. Meanwhile, Perry, who released a solo album, Sweetzerland Manifesto, earlier this year, has scheduled several Joe Perry and Friends tour dates with Gary Cherone and Brad Whitford. Tickets are available here and here.

Perry’s “other” band, Aerosmith, are playing this spring’s New Orleans Jazz Festival but haven’t revealed any other dates yet.
As for a new Hollywood Vampires album, Perry told us recently: “We’ve talked about putting out another record and I’m hoping that… we’ll be able to dig in and see what we can come up with before the tour. But that’s going to depend on if everybody is available. Johnny has another career he has to deal with and the thing about the Vampires is it’s really about everybody having the time to do it. It’s more like a pickup band in some ways. When everybody’s free, that’s when it happens.”
In early March, Perry posted a series of tweets on the subject…
