Deuces Are Wild! Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, just prior to their Aug. 15, 2018 appearance on The Today Show

Aerosmith’s Deuces Are Wild residency in Las Vegas begins April 6. (They’re also doing an east coast run. That Feb. 26 announcement revealed brief residencies at the MGM National Harbor in Baltimore, the Borgata in Atlantic City and the MGM Springfield in Massachusetts.)

The east coast dates are in addition to the significant expansion to their 2019 Las Vegas residency at the Park Theater at the new Park MGM Resort. That Feb. 12 announcement called for an additional 17 shows on top of the 18 that were originally scheduled back in August 2018.

The latter shows comprise two legs of nine dates each from April 6-26 and again June 19 – July 9. The newest run of Vegas performances will begin in September and continue into December.

Tickets are available here and here. (See the complete schedule below.)

On February 14, Aerosmith were to receive their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame but a rare rainy day postponed the ceremony.

The band formally revealed the original news of their Vegas residency during their live appearance on NBC’s The Today Show on August 15, 2018. “We’re gonna keep it who we are,” said Steven Tyler. “It’s gonna be beautiful and rocked out and we’ll get to use some special effects that have never been used before.”

Perry told legendary disc jockey Dennis Elsas: “What we’re talking about is having an experience that you wouldn’t be able to see on a regular Aerosmith tour.

“I feel like we’ve been out of the wind for a while and it seems like it would be a really cool thing to bring some of the history back, so the production is gonna look like that. But without losing what we are: a hardcore rock and roll band.”

In Best Classic Bands’ exclusive interview with Perry, published in January 2018, the musician indicated that the band would kick off a farewell tour later this year to begin an extended 50th anniversary celebration. That run will now begin in 2019.

The August 15 announcement describes the upcoming residency as “one of the most immersive, state-of-the art audio and video technology experiences in Las Vegas. The show features never-seen-before visuals and audio from Aerosmith recording sessions. Grammy Award winning producer Giles Martin, known for creating the soundscape for “The Beatles LOVE” by Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas, will create a spectacular show experience.”

The band has teamed up with THX and L-Acoustics for the world’s first THX Certified live performance presented in L-ISA Immersive Hyperreal Sound.
