Phil Collins’ third solo album, 1985’s No Jacket Required, will be reissued in two new formats in honor of its 40th anniversary. No Jacket Required (Fully Tailored) will be released on September 12, 2025, as a 4-LP vinyl box set with additional live and rare material. A separate Blu-ray Audio disc features a new Dolby ATMOS mix by Steven Wilson of the original album.

The deluxe collection, via Rhino, is pressed on 180-gram vinyl and features a 20-page booklet complete with new liner notes and photos. LP 1 features the original album remastered and cut at half-speed at Abbey Road Studios. LPs 2-4 include a collection of B-sides, live, and rare performances for the first time on vinyl, including a stripped-back performance of “One More Night” Live at the BBC, and “Long, Long Way To Go” from Live Aid on July 13, 1985. The vinyl collection is available for pre-order in the U.S. here and in Canada here.

The No Jacket Required Blu-ray Audio disc contains a brand-new Dolby ATMOS, 5.1 surround sound mix and stereo mix from Wilson, alongside the original 1985 stereo mix. Pre-order is available in the U.S. here and in the U.K. here.

More from the July 1 announcement: No Jacket Required mixed Collins’ trademark ballads alongside strong funk and R&B influences. The album’s hit singles — “Sussudio,” “One More Night,” “Don’t Lose My Number,” and “Take Me Home” — would also become staples of his live shows in the years that followed.

The album reached #1 in 11 countries and received three GRAMMY® Awards: Best Album, Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, and Producer of the Year for Collins, born January 30, 1951. He was 34 when the LP was originally released on February 18, 1985. It has since sold over 25 million copies, is RIAA-certified Diamond in the U.S. marking sales of more than 10 million copies, has reached 6x platinum in the U.K., and won two Brit Awards — Album of the Year and Best Male Solo Artist. “Sussudio” and “One More Night” were both U.S. #1 singles. The “No Jacket Required World Tour” played 85 shows in 12 countries and concluded with two special performances by Collins at Live Aid on July 13, at Wembley Stadium in London and John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia on the same day.
