Peter Asher: Everywhere Man, an aptly titled documentary spotlighting the famed British producer, manager, performer and A&R executive, will have its premiere June 19, 2026, in New York City before expanding to Los Angeles and markets nationwide starting June 26. Watch the official trailer below. It is also set to screen at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on April 15, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Cleveland International Film Festival. Tickets for that event are available here.

The film chronicles the remarkable career of the man who began his rise as half of the hitmaking ’60s duo Peter and Gordon before going on to guide the careers of James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt and others. Those two stars appear in the film, as do Steve Martin, Eric Idle, Jane Asher (Peter’s sister, who famously dated Paul McCartney during the Beatlemania years), Gordon Waller, Lyle Lovett, McCartney, Twiggy, Danny Kortchmar, Marianne Faithfull, Pattie Boyd, Yoko Ono and John Lennon, Carole King, Leland Sklar, Andrew Gold, Waddy Wachtel, Natalie Merchant, Robin Williams, Rufus Wainwright, “Weird Al” Yankovic and others.

The two-hour film is directed and produced by Dayna Goldfine and Dan Geller (Hallelujah: Leonard Cohen, a Journey, a Song).

From an advance announcement: “Peter Asher: Everywhere Man chronicles Asher’s remarkable six-decade journey through the worlds of pop, folk and rock, from his early British Invasion chart-topping fame as half of the iconic duo Peter and Gordon and his close friendship with Paul McCartney, to his groundbreaking work as a producer and manager for artists such as James Taylor and Linda Ronstadt. Featuring rare archival footage, intimate interviews and never-before-heard stories, the film offers an illuminating portrait of a man who helped shape the soundtrack of multiple generations and continues to inspire musicians and fans around the globe.”
