Eagles of Death Metal will resume their European tour early next year. The tour was postponed following the November 13th terrorist attacks that left 89 dead at their concert at the Bataclan in Paris.
Members of the band expressed repeatedly that they hoped to get back onstage in Europe as soon as possible, and on December 7th EODM made their first appearance in Paris since the attacks to play a few songs at the end of U2’s Innocence + Experience concert, which had also been postponed.
The band’s new tour, called “The Nos Amis Tour” (“our friends”), kicks off February 13th in Stockholm, Sweden. Three days later they will perform at the Olympia in Paris. Fans who were at the Bataclan show where the attacks took place can receive a free ticket for the new show, and ticketholders from any postponed dates will have a pre-sale window to re-purchase their refunded tickets if they so choose. “The people of Paris have always been incredible to us, and our feeling of love towards this beautiful city and its people has been reinforced a million times over this past month,” EODM’s Jesse Hughes said in a statement. “Hearing the stories of the survivors, the injured and those who have lost loved ones has been overwhelming. Not returning to finish our set was never an option. We look forward to coming back in February and continuing our mission to bring rock ‘n’ roll to the world.”
