David Gilmour Shares More Tracks From New Concert Album, Film

The sold-out concert tour that David Gilmour did to support his 2024 studio album, Luck and Strange, is being commemorated with several releases in a variety of formats. A pair of live releases, The Luck and Strange Concerts (CD, vinyl) and Live at the Circus Maximus (Blu-ray, DVD) are coming simultaneously on October 17, 2025, that beautifully capture the tour. [They were preceded by a limited theatrical showing of the Live at the Circus Maximus, Rome film in cinemas and IMAX worldwide in September.] The official trailer was released on August 6.
The Live at the Circus Maximus, Rome film is being released on 2-Blu-ray and 3-DVD sets with bonus unseen footage, mixed in 5.1 and Atmos (Blu-ray only). Both formats are available in the U.S. here, in Canada here and in the U.K. here.

Gilmour‘s tour began with two warm-up shows at the Brighton Centre before moving to Circus Maximus in Rome for six nights, followed by the same at London’s Royal Albert Hall before moving to the U.S. for evenings at the Intuit Dome and Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, and concluding with five nights at Madison Square Garden in New York.
The Luck and Strange Concerts feature 23 tracks across 4-LPs or 2-CDs recorded at selected shows from the tour and blends solo tracks from Gilmour’s most recent album, including a rendition of “Between Two Points” with his daughter, Romany Gilmour, along with such Pink Floyd classics as “Breathe (In the Air),” “Time,” “Wish You Were Here” and “Comfortably Numb.” Both formats, with a 24-page book, are available in the U.S. here, in Canada here and in the U.K. here.

The audio for The Luck and Strange Concerts and Live at the Circus Maximus has been co-produced by Gilmour and Charlie Andrew, who co-produced the Luck and Strange album.

The Luck and Strange studio album, Gilmour’s fifth solo effort and his first since 2015, hit #1 in the U.K., Germany, Poland, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Portugal and Austria. It reached #2 in France, Italy, and Belgium, the top 5 in Spain, Japan, Norway, Denmark, and Hungary, and the top ten in the U.S., Australia, Finland, Sweden, Ireland, and New Zealand.
