They’re cleverly calling it the LSD Tour, because it features Lucinda Williams (L), Steve Earle (S) and Dwight Yoakam (D). Between them, says the tour announcement, the three Americana artists have garnered 49 Grammy nominations.
The North American tour, produced by Live Nation, unites the three artists for the first time. Various pre-sales will begin March 26 at 10:00 a.m. local time. Tickets will go on sale to the general public starting March 30 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
The LSD Tour kicks off June 12 at Blue Hills Bank Pavilion in Boston and continues at amphitheaters and theaters in major markets across the country, concluding on Aug. 18 at Farm Bureau Insurance Lawn in Indianapolis, Ind. Support comes from Los Angeles rock artist King Leg.

SiriusXM will present the tour and also recently announced a 24/7 channel curated by Yoakam, launching in late April and titled Dwight Yoakam and The Bakersfield Beat ‘Where Country Went Mod.’ The channel, says the press release, “will feature music from Yoakam’s extensive career and celebrate the Bakersfield sound and those whom it has inspired. The channel will encompass all that is California country and country rock, in all of its various and varietal hybrid forms.”
Lucinda Williams recently re-recorded her 1992 classic Sweet Old World for its 25th anniversary, and Steve Earle is also touring this year in support of Copperhead Road’s 30th anniversary.
