Bob Dylan has added four dates in the U.K. and Ireland as he continues to expand the European leg of his “Rough and Rowdy Ways” worldwide tour 2021-2024, named for his acclaimed 2020 studio album. The new November concerts, added on Sep. 1, will follow the 25 previously announced shows. The new ones are the first added since four in London and three in Berlin were posted on July 13-15. The first four European shows were revealed on July 8. Three days later, the number of shows was up to ten. As of Sep. 1, the total stands at 29. His Spring U.S. tour began on May 28 and ended July 6. Dylan turned 81 years old on May 24.
Tickets for the new shows will be available for purchase on Sept. 5 on Ticketmaster.
He began the tour in November 2021 with concerts in the U.S. midwest and northeast. Those represented the Bard’s first live performances in nearly two years. (Dylan’s last live concert before that was Dec. 8, 2019, in Washington, D.C., following a 10-show residency at the Beacon, part of a lengthy fall 2019 U.S. tour.) The first leg of 2022 ran from March 3 – April 14.
Dylan began the “Rough and Rowdy Ways” 2021-2024 world wide tour in Milwaukee, Wisc., on Nov. 2, 2021, with an 18-song set that leaned heavily on Dylan’s most recent studio album, performing eight of the LP’s 10 tracks.
Watch him perform “I Contain Multitudes” on the tour’s second night, Nov. 3, in Chicago
