In celebration of his upcoming ninth solo studio album, Down The Road Wherever (released last Nov. 16 on British Grove Records via Blue Note), Mark Knopfler will launch a world tour in April 2019, followed by an extensive run of North American dates.

On Jan. 30, Knopfler announced two dates at London’s Royal Albert Hall, on May 21-22, due to high ticket demand. Scroll down to see all upcoming dates.

On tour, Knopfler will perform with an expanded 10-piece band, most of whom have been working with him for more than two decades: Guy Fletcher (keyboards), Richard Bennett (guitar), Jim Cox (piano), Mike McGoldrick (whistle and flute), John McCusker (fiddle and cittern), Glenn Worf (bass), Danny Cummings (percussion) and Ian Thomas (drums). New additions include Graeme Blevins (saxophone) and Tom Walsh (trumpet).

As with past Mark Knopfler tours, the 2019 edition includes some very special offers for fans. North American ticket buyers will receive an offer for a copy of Mark’s new album with every ticket purchase. And all ticket presale customers will receive a complimentary live recording from the forthcoming tour. Expect more details on both these programs to be communicated over the coming weeks and months.
