The Moody Blues’ Justin Hayward has scheduled several dozen tour dates, months after postponing his February and March 2019 U.S. tour dates due to a “medical condition.”  On February 4, the group’s lead singer, guitarist and writer of such classic rock favorites as “Nights in White Satin,” “Tuesday Afternoon” and “The Story in Your Eyes,” said in a post on his Facebook page that “postponing is tough for us all, but not when it comes to our health.”

Shortly after the postponement, Hayward announced plans for a September 2019 U.K. tour. (See dates below.)

Hayward’s Feb. 4 statement noted:

“Due to a medical condition that prevents me from doing extensive traveling in the next few weeks, I have made the decision to postpone all the Feb and March tour dates after my On The Blue cruise engagement. The concerts affected are Feb 16 – March 3.

My sincere apologies to all who have tickets for this run of gigs. I thank you in advance for your kind understanding.

Postponing is tough for us all, but not when it comes to our health.

I’ll be back on the road very soon.

Love Justin”

Sorry to hear Hayward won’t be touring as much. But at 73 years old even he deserves to slow down a little bit. My prayers for him and his family and his continued health and well-being.

I recall first hearingThe Moody Blues in 1968. I liked them then, and still love them today! As a matter of fact I’ve carried on the tradition with my daughter and grandchildren. Every time they were here in Vegas, I saw them and I can’t wait to see our beloved Justin in Ventura next month.

I do so love your overall talent and personality. The Moody Blues have been the story of my life. I will miss the gang and condolences for Ray Thomas. But I still love you as much as before. If not even more. . Last saw Justin in September this year. Hope to see him again.
