Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers deluxeWe’re closing 2015 with an amazing prize for one lucky Best Classic Bands reader. One of you will receive the Grammy-nominated super deluxe edition of the Rolling Stones’ Sticky Fingers, released earlier this year from Universal Music Enterprises.

Sticky Fingers is one of the most revered albums in the Stones’ storied catalog. The original 1971 classic captured the band at the absolute peak of their powers on timeless tracks such as “Brown Sugar,” “Wild Horses” and “Dead Flowers.”

The expanded release includes not only the original album but a generous selection of previously unreleased material including: an alternate version of “Brown Sugar” featuring Eric Clapton; previously unreleased versions of “Bitch” and “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking,” among others; five tracks recorded live in 1971 including “Honky Tonk Women” and “Midnight Rambler”; 13 tracks from another 1971 Stones gig including “Jumpin Jack Flash,” “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” and “Street Fighting Man.”

The collection also includes a two-song DVD featuring live performances of “Midnight Rambler” and “Bitch”; a seven-inch single of “Brown Sugar” and “Wild Horses”; a hardbound book with essay, photos and detailed notes; and more. The package features a reproduction of the original Andy Warhol cover, complete with a real zipper. No surprise that the release has received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Boxed or Special Limited Package.
