The anticipated rush for Prince‘s music has arrived at retail and ecommerce sites. For the sales week ending April 28, 2016, the legend’s albums eight of the Top 14 positions on the Street Pulse Top 50 Albums chart including Purple Rain at #1 and 1999 at #2.
An even closer look at the chart below reveals the continued dominance of classic rock. The list includes releases from such legends as Santana, Fleetwood Mac, Bonnie Raitt, David Bowie, Metallica and more. Even contemporary artists that record in the classic rock style, such as Adele and The Lumineers are represented.
