Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr reunited in Las Vegas on July 14, 2016, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Beatles Love by Cirque du Soleil. The show introduced new acts, music, technology and more to the crowd who responded with a full standing ovation at the conclusion of the anniversary performance. The packed house included many celebrity friends, all of whom paid homage to The Beatles and the spectacular show.

Held at The Mirage Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, the celebration opened with a star-studded red carpet featuring appearances by McCartney and Starr, as well as Yoko Ono. Additional red carpet appearances included Ron Howard, who directed the 2016 documentary on The Beatles’ touring years; Joe Walsh; Giles Martin, son of producer George Martin, who is Love‘s musical director and himself a Beatles producer; actors Kevin Nealon, Mira Sorvino, Josh Hutcherson, Cary Elwes and Kevin Dillon.

At the time of the 10th anniversary, new additions to the 70-member show included advanced projection technology, new acrobatic acts, a remixed soundtrack with a new song (“Twist and Shout”), and state-of-the-art video panels featuring The Beatles’ images—bringing renewed life to the show that has already won the hearts of music and theater fans worldwide.

Love, a Cirque du Soleil creation and co-production with Apple Corps Ltd., celebrates the musical legacy of The Beatles and is presented exclusively at The Mirage in Las Vegas. The project was born out of a personal friendship and mutual admiration between the late George Harrison and Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté. The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil opened to rave reviews on June 30, 2006. LOVE is the recipient of three Grammy Awards.
