Jeff Lynne’s ELO announced on Nov. 13 the first dates of a U.S. tour as well as their return to the U.K. and Europe, for an extended run of shows in 2018. The shows will see the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2017 inductee perform in the U.S. in August and across the continent in September and October.

Demand for tickets was so great that second dates were quickly added in two U.K. cities: London and Birmingham. Today (Dec. 4), Lynne announced second shows have been added in New York and Los Angeles. (See below.)

The August dates represent Lynne’s first U.S. tour in over 30 years. A Facebook pre-sale for the two newest dates begins this Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. local time. Public on-sale will be Dec. 8 for Los Angeles and Dec. 9 for New York. Tickets for the tour are available at Ticketmaster.com. and StubHub.

In the original announcement, Lynne said, “Our audiences are amazing. It’s like they’re in the group. We can’t wait to play for them again.”

ELO has had 26 U.K. Top 40 singles, including “Evil Woman,” “Telephone Line,” “Livin’ Thing” and “Mr. Blue Sky,” helping sell over 50 million records worldwide.

The June 24 Wembley Stadium concert was released as Wembley Or Bust on Nov. 17 in a variety of formats.

In America, Lynne has only done 2015 club dates in New York and Los Angeles to coincide with the release of his Alone in the Universe studio album. He returned in 2016, but only to those same markets where he did three dates at the Hollywood Bowl and two at Radio City Music Hall.
