Hot Tuna Fall 2017 Tour Dates Announced

For more than four decades, Hot Tuna—formed during the late ’60s peak of Jefferson Airplane by that band’s guitarist, Jorma Kaukonen, and bassist, Jack Casady—has been recording and touring almost consistently, playing both electric and acoustic blues and roots-based music. The two Rock and Roll Hall of Famers will head out on a new tour this fall.

Those shows will be preceded by a couple of festival dates and shows at Fur Peace Ranch, Kaukonen’s guitar camp in Ohio, featuring either Kaukonen or Casady sitting in with other bands.

Guitarist Steve Kimock will join Hot Tuna for three Northeast dates in December.

At the 2016 Grammys, Kaukonen and Casady were honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards for their involvement in the Airplane. Hot Tuna recently wrapped up their latest run, as openers on the Tedeschi Trucks Band’s Wheels of Soul tour.
