Update (April 1 1 pm ET): Guns N’ Roses have announced that they will be performing the much-rumored show at LA’s Troubadour tonight for just 10 bucks. “Back where it all began.” Ticket info in the image below. Better be quick about it.
And today’s announcement confirmed what we already knew, as they wrote: “From The Boys Who Will Bring You The Most Chaotic Tour Of 2016.”
Update (April 1 9 am): Earlier today, Guns N’ Roses switched their social media profile pic to an old-school look (see below), continuing one of the longest-running tease campaigns we can recall. The comments on their Facebook page are fairly entertaining.
It’s hard to keep the Axl Rose scorecard straight. Yesterday (3/24) the rumor mill was abuzz with speculation that the Gn’R singer would join AC/DC to complete the band’s 10 postponed American tour dates canceled due to singer Brian Johnson’s hearing loss problems (see our report here).
Today, the Guns Twitter and Facebook accounts sent out a short video that touts a 2016 summer tour of 21 cities by the band.
They counsel patience to the whistled tune of their song “Patience.” No specific dates have been announced. The founding band members who will be reuniting are Rose, guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan. Speculation that drummer Steven Adler may in some way participate was prompted by the announcement earlier this week that Adler’s April 1 show at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood was canceled and big news for the date would soon follow (read more here).
