Gregg Allman has announced a series of U.S. live dates set to begin December 30 and 31 with a pair of New Year’s Eve concerts in Savannah, GA. Allman and his eight-man band will then travel through the South, culminating in a special two-night stand at The Grand Opera House in the classic rock legend’s beloved Macon, GA on January 17 and 18. (Full itinerary is below.)

Allman will be accompanied throughout the tour with Scott Sharrard (guitar), Peter Levin (keyboards), Steve Potts (drums), Brett Bass (bass), Jay Collins and Art Edmaiston (saxophone), Marc Franklin (trumpet), and longtime Allman Brothers Band member Marc Quinones (percussion). The tour follows Allman’s 10-night club residency at New York’s City Winery, which begins this Sunday, November 6. The intimate run marks his return to the venue following last year’s sold-out residency. Limited seated and standing room tickets are available now via citywinery.com.

“I love coming to New York and staying a while,” says Allman of the City Winery run. “It feels natural.”

Earlier this year, Allman was sidelined, when his publicist announced on August 5 that the 68-year-old Allman Brothers Band legend was experiencing “serious health issues” and was canceling all performances for the rest of the summer. He resumed touring on September 25 at his own Laid Back Festival at Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Allman’s jam-packed live schedule continues what has been an extraordinarily eventful year, one that began with sold out winter and spring tours and later saw his Laid Back Festival expand to five American cities after the unprecedented success of 2015’s inaugural single event. Laid Back festival dates for 2017 will be announced soon.

While Allman is in New York, the Morrison Hotel Gallery in Soho will open an exhibit of Patricia O’Driscoll’s photography spanning several years. The exhibit will run from November 10-27.
