Fresh off Thursday’s (12/17) announcement of their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, Cheap Trick has inked a deal with Big Machine Records (home of Steven Tyler and Taylor Swift) to release their first album in nearly six years, Bang Zoom Crazy… Hello, due April 1st.

The classic rockers are now well into their fourth decade of making catchy ballads combined with hard rock – or what frontman Robin Zander describes as “three great guys and four great chords” in an interview with Hits.

Zander insists that the new release will have “flavors of 1975,” offering up new spins on their old sounds with plenty of material to please long-time fans, particularly since the record features three of the band’s four original members – Zander, guitarist Rick Nielsen and bassist Tom Petersson. Nielsen’s son Dax has taken over drumming duties from Bun E. Carlos in recent years.

This year marked Cheap Trick’s first nomination for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, despite being eligible since 2002. The band will be inducted on April 8th, alongside Chicago, Deep Purple, N.W.A and Steve Miller. Click here for our complete coverage of the induction announcement.

Cheap Trick are beloved around the globe since 1973 for their instantly identifiable, hugely influential, brand of pop rock’n’roll. The band’s classic tunes include “Surrender,” “I Want You To Want Me,” “Dream Police” and the #1 hit, “The Flame.”

The band finishes up 2015 with a few dates this week; a victory lap tour is a certainty for 2016.

Cheap Trick Tour Dates:

12/18 — Napa, CA, Uptown Theatre
12/19 — Stateline, NV, Harrah’s Hotel Casino, Lake Tahoe
12/20 — San Jose, CA, City National Civic
3/5/16 — Plant City, FL, Strawberry Festival
