While visiting Kuala Lumpur, Jon Bon Jovi revealed to reporters that he and his band will be releasing their 14th album, This House Is Not For Sale, sometime in March. We don’t know yet what the specific date will be, but the classic rocker did offer up a few tidbits in a press conference – namely, that the LP was recorded in the very same studio where the rock band cut “Runaway” in 1982: The Power Station (since renamed Avatar Recording Studios) in Manhattan, a famed recording facility owned by Bon Jovi’s cousin, Tony Bongiovi, was where the superstar used to sweep floors and fetch band members coffee way back when.

“When I wrote ‘Runaway’ in 1982, my viewpoint wasn’t that big, but with every record and passing decade of our career, we evolve,” he said. “We keep our eyes open, let information in and write about the world around us. We really couldn’t write ‘You Give Love a Bad Name’ now. It was great when I was 25 but not at 53. This record is about our integrity. Integrity matters, and we’re at a stage of our career where we don’t have anything left to prove.”

Bon Jovi released their 13th album, Burning Bridges, in August to simultaneously fulfill a commitment to and take a jab at Mercury Records, who dropped the band from their roster recently after more than 30 years of partnership. Despite the drama, the singer-songwriter is confident that the new record will please fans. “A lot has happened,” he acknowledged in an interview with Billboard. “Richie Sambora’s ‘sudden departure,’ also my trying to buy the Buffalo Bills, and now this with the label… I have a lot of material to write about it. Believe me, the new record is good. It’s pointed. It’s something we are going to be very proud of.”

Can a Bon Jovi 2016 tour be far behind? After all, the words “Bon Jovi new album” usually translate to a concert tour as well. Best Classic Bands will let you know when that’s announced. (If you’re a new reader of ours, we’d be grateful if you would Like our Facebook page and/or bookmark our Home page.)
