AC:DC Lisbon Screen CapHe may have been still confined to a chair due to the broken metatarsal bone in his foot, but Axl Rose brought fans to their feet in his first turn as AC/DC‘s lead singer today (5/7). The band’s 22 song set with the Guns N’ Roses singer filling in for Brian Johnson at Passeio Maritimo de Algés in Lisbon, Portugal proved he could bring the rock in the way that the superstar Australian hard rock band is known for.

The concert began with the title song to the group’s most recent album, “Rock or Bust” and wrapped up with a three-song encore of “Highway To Hell,” “Riff Raff” and “For Those About to Rock (We Salute You).” In between they delivered many fan favorites as well as some live rarities like “Riff Raff,” which they haven’t played since 1996, and “Rock ‘n’ Roll Damnation,” which hasn’t been performed by the band since 2003.

Among some of the highlights were”Shoot To Thrill”…

“Back In Black”….

“Hell’s Bells”….

And encore number “Highway To Hell.”

You can watch and listen to the full two-hour concert here. You can also listen to 12 songs from AC/DC’s rehearsal and soundcheck prior to the show here.
